The Quirk Space is a Community Interest Company (CIC) based in Olney, Milton Keynes. What does that mean, we hear you ask? Our sole purpose of existence is to benefit the community. The Quirk Space CIC opened in Olney in November 2020, with a vegan café, doorstep deliveries, specialist food retail and design-led products. Our intention is to continue to grow all of these areas of the business, whilst also introducing our community events programme as and when the government guidance allows. We are also dedicated to building a sustainable business.

About the role

We are looking to expand our team with 2 Team Members (Café/Retail), who we can offer flexible working hours to. Applicants must be willing to work across both weekdays and weekends on a rotation basis. As a growing business, we will be able to offer approximately 10 hours a week from March 2021 but this is likely to increase in the near future as restrictions ease.

You will be the face of The Quirk Space for all of our lovely customers. Whether it’s preparing their favourite hot drink, serving some of our delicious food or going out to deliver straight to their door, you’ll get to develop and uphold customer relationships.

About you

Whilst previous experience in a café environment would be good, it is not necessary as training will be provided. A passion for vegan food, stellar customer service, a nimble attitude and a proactive approach to getting things done are valued much more at The Quirk Space.
